I like that the outside material is not cotton like sweat pants so it won’t fade or stretch out. It’s a polyester and the inside is a soft fleece. I haven’t washed yet and it hasn’t been cold enough to wear yet. I wish they were a little looser by the ankles. They are snug so I will probably wear unzipped a little bit.
I’ma pretty solid medium (8-10)in most brands and the medium fit great.

I bought these pants in blue and in black for a trip to Iceland and Norway for when I knew I would be out in 32 degree weather for hours – 7 hours one day. With a silk and a wool long underwear, these pants and coat, my legs still got cold sitting outside for 4 hours in 32 degree weather. The next day, I put on 4 layers of long underwear (2 silk and 2 wool) since it was in the 20’s and I knew I would be outside all day watching the ski races..I was warmer that day. These pants by themselves do provide a nice layer of warmth. I wore just them to my hair dressers when it was 35 degrees outside, and they kept my legs warmer while my feet were freezing as all the customers came in during the day.
These pants, add a nice insulating, warm layer and is warm enough to use without long underwear when it is closer to 40 degrees. I do recommend you buy a bigger size then you wear if you are going to be wearing long underwear layers beneath it.
They are comfortable. The pants have a slight sheen to them, so they do not look like normal sweat pants. I only brought these two pairs of pants with me on my trip, and they were comfortable on the 8 hours of flying as well. The elastic waist band and pants stayed on well.
